There really is nothing more to be said. The only argument a "Democrat" can offer in the name of "being open to new ideas" is either pure marxism or just the same plain old politics of personal destruction.
Here is an idea that that I am sure is "new" to guys like this:
The US Constitution, Article 1, Section 8.
The Federalist and Anti-Federalist Papers.
Compare them with the Communist Manifesto and see which one has lead to the greatest, freest country ever in history, and which one has lead to the bloodiest totalitarian dictatorships; which one has lifted the light of hope to the world, and which one murdered hundreds of millions to gain and keep power. Look at the Democrat party platforms at least since the beginning of the "progressive era," look at the "fundamental transformation" under way since 2008, and see if they are in tune with Jefferson and Madison, or Karl Marx. It's not hard to do that comparison; even those who only engage in the politics of personal destruction can do it. Let me make it simple; it always reduces to individual freedom vs. racism and class warfare.
Good grief... are we in the 21st century, or the 11th? Marxism is nothing but the feudalism from the Dark Ages, maybe turned upside down, maybe not; the marxists, their billionaire financiers and their "useful idiot""fellow travelers" (google them) certainly do act like some sort of an anointed aristocratic elite, entitled to rule.
Well, this last Tuesday we the people have given our resounding answer.
